Kuo Yan Restaurant
The former Ambassador’s chef Mr Kuo established a restaurant on Willesden High Road called Kuo Yan. It attracted celebrities and introduced Peking Duck and the joy of Chinese cuisine to many Londoners.
Wing Yip Store
The Brent store opened in 1988 as a flagship London superstore for the Wing Yip family. The site location next to the M1 motorway was ideal for links back to the original store in Birmingham.
Lee’s Emporium & Travel
The Lee family expanded from running the first Chinese grocery store in North London, just off Kilburn High Road, to owning a large international travel business.
