Terms & Conditions


Reservations: are required for all tours. Please book as soon as possible.

Inclusions: are specifically stated for each tours. Gratuities are at your discretion.

Smoking: smoking is not permitted inside any of the venues we visit.

Food and drink: in the interest of safety and out of respect for the dietary customs upheld by the religious venues visited, we ask that no food or drink (except water) is consumed during our tours.  Food and drink is often included and provided by the communities we visit. It is not always possible to cater for food allergies or specific dietary requirements.

Children: we hold specific tours for families but in general most tours are deemed suitable for children over 7 and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, parent or carer. When a tour is not deemed suitable for children, we will clearly state so. Please get in touch with us if you want to bring a child along.

Cancellations: no cancellations are possible once a reservation is made.

Alterations: we reserve the right to alter the itinerary or running order of the event owing to unforeseen circumstances. Every endeavour will be made to advise ticket-holders in advance of any alterations that are deemed necessary. Should the ticket-holder fail to arrive or arrive late at the starting point, or during the event, no liability can be accepted by SharedCity.

Tour cancellations: we reserve the right to cancel any tour. In that unlikely event, we will offer you an alternative time slot of your choosing or a full refund.

Special Offers: all offers displayed on the website are subject to availability and at the discretion of SharedCity operators.

Pets or animals: pets or animals of any nature are expressly prohibited on all tours (except for guide dogs and hearing dogs).

Gift Vouchers: all gift vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of issue.

Refund policy: refunds will only be granted in the unlikely event of SharedCity cancelling a a tour and are unable to reschedule it to your satisfaction.

We can only refund the full face value of the ticket and are not liable for any additional expense incurred e.g. transport, accommodation, food etc, in the event of a tour not running. 

Force Majeur: while SharedCity makes every effort to provide on-time service, we are not liable for acts of God, fire, weather, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers incident to sea, land and air travel, road conditions, mechanical problems, or other similar incidents beyond our control. SharedCity is not liable for any inconvenience or expense caused as a result of such delay.

Accident and compensation policy: we are not liable for lost or damaged property during the duration of the tour. We are not responsible for delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employees negligence, in which case our liability is limited (except for death or personal injury) to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost. 

General Conditions: no servant or agent of SharedCity can vary our conditions and any such purported variation shall have no effect unless it has been signed by one of our directors. All matters concerning your booking shall be subject to English Law. Whilst we proof read our web site and any promotional literature you receive several times prior to publishing, we cannot be held liable for typographical errors regarding pricing, dates or descriptions of tours. All errors and omissions will be remedied as soon as noted.
