SharedCity was set up by three of us:
Deborah Chatterjee, Nidhi Ferwerda & Caroline Bourne
We are excited to show you how to travel the world without leaving London - and here's why...
Having all grown up in London we have a healthy typical London mix of Indian, Italian, Hindu, Catholic, Jewish, Polish, Russian and Spanish heritage.
Discovering new places, tasting new food and meeting new people is a shared passion & between us we have travelled around the world several times.
And our continued love of adventure, travel, food & our personal intrigue about each others' cultures led us to start SharedCity.
SharedCity is a way to share our love of our exceptional multicultural city & make the most of the world being 'on our doorstep'.
The three of us have indulged in experiencing the wide array of aromatic street food, markets, mosques, temples and languages and found it is possible to recreate the feeling of 'travelling the world without leaving London'.
The idea of SharedCity is perfect for our busy lives and others who are short of time, money (or both) for adventurous holidays!
The tours are also a great way to learn about London's diversity in an authentic way.
Our professional backgrounds in town planning, community engagement, engineering, tv, technology, theatre and teaching which means we have a range of skills to draw on to create unforgettable tours to share with people, like us, who want to explore, learn and enjoy London a bit more.
